Information
This Hanging is, in part, a serious Political event but may be participated in as a radical ‘1831 Alive’ Agit Prop Open Air Theatre event and thus, if you wish, you may come dressed in period in homage to the 18th Century ‘Pobl y Ceffyl Pren’ (People of the Pitchfork resistance to land enclosures and capitalist Corn thieves)
Keep in mind that for much of the post Act of Union centuries up to 1848, our people resisted tyrrany, oppression and exploitation and a great many were imprisoned, transported and publically executed - as was the fate of both Samuel Hill and Aaron Williams in Cardiff in 1801. (See Blogs Pitchfork & Pike also Cymrwch y Tir Yn Ôl)
We say it is ‘payback time’ if only in the form of some radical theatre but, with serious intent - to motivate and mobilise patriots to be Pobl Glyndŵr and Partisans Cymru and join with us in a present day Resistance Struggle on Mawr against the RWE Road and ‘Somerset Trust’ Mynydd y Gwair Wind Farm.
