    Personally, I far prefer the word 'autonomism' in relation to the wish of nations currently under the rule of larger ones to become nation states in their own right. This would serve to differentiate between movements in Wales, Scotland, Catalonia etc on one hand, and the extreme right which wishes to oppress such peoples.

    I agree with you autonomism is a better word has it represents self determination rather than separatism and has a more democratic meaning than separatism which fits more with racist than revolutionary nationalist movements.
